Editorial Policy

Cuvée exists to help you find the right wine club — not to sell you one. Here is exactly how we operate, how we make money, and the rules we follow to keep those two things separate.

Our Independence

No wine club can pay to rank higher. Period.

Every club in our directory is presented based on the same structured data: pricing, shipping coverage, cancellation policies, wine types, sourcing model, and flexibility. We do not accept payment to feature, promote, or prioritize any club over another in our directory, search results, or comparison tools.

If we ever introduce sponsored or enhanced listings in the future, they will be clearly and prominently labeled so you always know the difference between editorial content and paid placement.

How We Collect Data

Our directory is built from structured data extracted directly from wine club websites. We track dozens of data points per club, including:

  • Plan pricing, bottle counts, and shipping frequency
  • Shipping coverage (which states each club ships to)
  • Cancellation method, minimum commitments, and flexibility (skip, pause)
  • Wine types, regions, and sourcing model (estate, curated, private label)
  • Shipping costs and temperature control

This data is updated on a rolling basis. Because wine clubs change their pricing and policies frequently, we cannot guarantee real-time accuracy for every data point. Always verify current details directly with the club before subscribing.

How We Make Money

Cuvée is free to use. We make money through affiliate commissions: when you click a link to a wine club and subscribe, we may earn a referral fee from that club or its affiliate network. You pay the same price either way — the commission comes from the club, not from you.

Not every club in our directory has an affiliate relationship with us. Clubs without affiliate programs are included on equal terms.

What Affiliate Links Look Like

When you click a “Visit Club” or “Get Started” button on our site, that link may include affiliate tracking parameters. These allow the wine club or affiliate network to attribute your visit to Cuvée.

We track aggregate click data internally (which clubs are clicked, from which pages) for analytics purposes. This data is not tied to your personal identity.

The Bright-Line Rule

Revenue relationships never influence:

  • Which clubs appear in our directory
  • How clubs are ranked or ordered in search results
  • What data is shown on club detail pages
  • Which clubs are recommended by our matching quiz or AI vibe search
  • Which clubs appear in our editorial guides and comparisons

If we ever discover a conflict between revenue and editorial integrity, editorial integrity wins. Every time. No exceptions.

Report an Error

See something wrong? Outdated pricing, incorrect shipping info, or a club that should not be listed? We take corrections seriously. Email us at hello@cuvee.club and we will investigate promptly.
