Cuvée (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates cuveeclub.com. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

  • Email address when you subscribe to our newsletter
  • Quiz responses when you use our wine club matching quiz (not stored server-side after your session)
  • Messages you send via our contact email addresses

Information collected automatically:

  • Page views and site usage via Plausible Analytics (privacy-focused, cookie-free, no personal data collected)
  • Performance metrics via Vercel Speed Insights (anonymous web vitals data)
  • Search queries when you use our vibe search feature (processed in real-time, not stored after the session)

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Send you our newsletter (if you subscribe)
  • Generate personalized wine club recommendations via our quiz and vibe search
  • Understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it
  • Respond to your inquiries

We do not sell your personal information. We never have and never will.

3. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of third-party services to operate this site:

  • Plausible Analytics — Privacy-focused web analytics. Does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and is compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR. Their data policy.
  • Vercel — Hosts our website and provides anonymous performance metrics. Their privacy policy.
  • Anthropic — Powers our AI vibe search. When you use vibe search, your search query is sent to Anthropic’s API for processing. Anthropic does not use this data for model training. Their privacy policy.
  • Voyage AI — Powers our semantic search embeddings. When you use vibe search, your query is sent to Voyage AI’s API to generate a search embedding. Voyage AI does not store query data. Their privacy policy.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We do not use cookies for analytics or advertising. Plausible Analytics is entirely cookie-free. Your browser may use standard session storage for site functionality (such as remembering your quiz state), but we do not use tracking cookies, fingerprinting, or cross-site tracking of any kind.

5. Affiliate Links

When you click an outbound link to a wine club, that link may include affiliate tracking parameters (such as UTM codes). These allow the wine club or affiliate network to attribute your visit to Cuvée. We track click events internally (which club was clicked, from which page) for aggregate analytics — not tied to your identity. You pay the same price regardless of whether you use an affiliate link. 6. Data Retention

  • Email addresses: Retained until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.
  • Quiz responses: Processed in your browser session. Not stored on our servers.
  • Vibe search queries: Processed in real-time via the Anthropic API. Not stored by us after the response is returned.
  • Analytics data: Aggregated and anonymous. Plausible retains data for 2 years by default with no personal identifiers.

7. Your Rights

California residents (CCPA): You have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect about you
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell your data, so there is nothing to opt out of)

EU/EEA residents (GDPR): Cuvée is a U.S.-based service. If you visit from the EU/EEA, you have rights under GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, and data portability. Contact us to exercise these rights.

8. Children

Cuvée is intended for adults aged 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 21. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption for all site traffic and secure hosting infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
